Power and Performance
The 2022 Dodge Charger has a few engines to choose from depending on how much get-up-and-go you’re looking for under the hood.
The engine options for the 2022 Charger include V6 and V8 engine options. The available 5.7L V8 generates an impressive 370 horsepower. However, an even more powerful V8 engine provides a whopping 485 horsepower in the Scat Pack trim.
All engines work with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Charger offers you the choice of standard rear-wheel drive, although you can opt for an all-wheel drive option.
To aid with a more powerful control, the Charger has electronically assisted power steering. For a smooth ride, the Gas-Pressurized Shock Absorbers come standard and absorb the bumps of the road.
Interior
Inside the Charger, you’ll find comfortable seating for five with plenty of legroom—41.8 inches in the front and 40.1 inches in the back row. The trunk is quite roomy, too, with 16.5 cubic feet of cargo space.
The Charger is a muscle car, and that style carries through to the interior. The steering wheel has a leather and metal look for that great mix of luxury and style. The cloth sport seats are comfortable too and pair well with the interior aluminum and metal trim.
The Charger comes standard with a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system to keep you and your passengers comfortable. You can set two temperatures with two zones, so everyone gets the temperature that makes them comfortable.
Technology Features
There is no shortage of tech inside the Charger. Each trim of the Charger has a Uconnect® infotainment system. It begins with a 7-inch display, but as you go up in trims, you can opt for a display that is 8.4 inches. With the infotainment system, you can stream music, use voice activation to keep your hands on the wheel, and control volume via steering wheel controls.
Driver-assist and safety tech features are available for the 2022 Dodge Charger. These systems can make driving safer and easier. Some of the available features include:

- Automated Emergency Braking
- Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert
