Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM March Sales Results Announced
FCA US LLC recently released United States sales figures for March 2017, with the company selling a total of 190,254 vehicles during the month. The results are an anticipated effect of the company’s continued efforts to lower the volume of fleet sales it makes to the daily rental automotive segment.
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, which won more awards in 2016 and 2017 than any other minivan, saw sales improve 3 percent over results in February 2017. March marked the third consecutive month that the vehicle’s sales increased in year-over-year comparisons, and it also is model’s best monthly sales performance of the year.
Dodge was proud to see four models establish year-over-year sales increases, delivering a 10 percent brand improvement for the month. The Journey crossover enjoyed a robust 100 percent gain, while the powerful Challenger gained 17 percent compared to last year. The Dodge Viper and Dodge Grand Caravan minivan also beat out their respective March 2016 sales numbers.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee, the most-awarded SUV ever, delivered the model’s best sales month so far in 2017, with sales growing 22 percent.
RAM pickup trucks and vans netted a 6 percent increase compared to sales from March 2016, as RAM ProMaster van sales grew by a healthy 24 percent.
