Feel free to collect a few different prices from other dealerships in the area as well as other websites. You can use these as a range that an offer should fall into.

Repair and Clean Your Car

Cleaning your vehicle before you bring it to the dealership is a good way to show that you take care of your car. A wash and a vacuum should take care of it. When your vehicle looks nicer, you’re more likely to get a higher offer.

When cleaning your car, this is a good time to repair any minor issues, like dents. These repairs may increase your vehicle’s value.

While you’re repairing your vehicle, take care of any open recalls on the car as well. These are often free.

Gather Your Paperwork

Before you head to the dealership, you’ll want to get your paperwork together. If you have the title, bring that with you. Have any maintenance records? Bring those too. Those can show that you’ve cared for your vehicle and that it is in good condition.

Then, all that’s left is to check over the deal sheet, make sure everything is accurate, and sign.
